It's time again for our usual weekly round-up of the photos that we've been sharing across our social media accounts of our typographical discoveries on the streets of London. Every week, we share our favourite examples of branding, logos and typography.
We stayed mainly in the East this week, including a visit to the Design Museum, but did manage to pop in to Foyles bookshop in the West End at Waterloo station.
Foyles is an historic bookshop that was first founded in 1903. It holds a special place in the hearts of many Londoners, not least because of its eccentricities, which only came to an end with the death of its previous owner Christina Foyle.
Under Christina's tenure, books were categorized by publisher rather than topic or author. And once you had bravely managed to find the book you wanted, you had to queue three times to purchase it: once to collect an invoice for the book, once to pay the invoice and once to finally collect the book itself!
